Meet our instructors
Emily Deakin
Emily Deakin lives just outside of Conrad with her family of four on their family farm. Emily has been involved in the arts since she was a little girl.
Emily grew up in Hailey, ID. While living there she had the amazing opportunity to be part of a conservatory where she was able to study theater. Emily participated in plays and musicals in high school. She later went to college where she participated in various theatrical productions. Now, Living in Conrad, she participates in plays put on by the Pondera Players.
She is excited to start this new journey and offer theater to the community and surrounding areas.
Bethany Mason
Bethany Mason grew up outside of Chatfield, MN. She performed in her first play at the age of 5. Bethany fell in love with the theatre after seeing a professional production of Macbeth at the age of 12, Bethany went on to study theatre all through high school, attending theatre summer programs at Gustavus Adolfus college and the Commonweal Theatre company.
Bethany eventually came to the University of Montana, where she received her BFA in Theatre with an emphasis on Acting. Since graduating, Bethany has worked around Montana with several different companies and schools as an actor, director, designer and instructor including Flathead Valley community college, Montana Actors’ Theatre and the University of Montana Western.
Bethany now lives outside Conrad with her family and all their pets. She works closely with the Pondera Players as a performer, director and board member. Bethany is very excited to be working with Conrad CAP and she hopes to help create a love for theatre and the arts throughout the community.
